Market Operations
The council operates a public market at Chasteauneuf Street and the Forum Fair at Forest Side.
- Opening hours: 5:00–5:30 a.m. (depending on season)
- Closing: 7:00 p.m. on weekdays
- Stalls trade in poultry, fish, produce, spices, bread, and grains
- Eligibility: residency, unemployment status, and being a family head with no other income source
Waste Management
Weekly refuse collection and conveyance to approved disposal sites throughout the municipal jurisdiction.

- Three crematoria operating 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with 1.5-hour intervals
- Fees: Rs 2,000 (without coffin), Rs 3,000 (with coffin)
